A house built over the water

Raised on stilts on the Costão shoreline of Guaraqueçaba, Bambuza opens onto wildlife most visitors only see from a boat: dolphins, cormorants, herons, and gulls crossing the bay right in front of the balcony.

The common areas are wide and open to each other, with a water view from nearly every corner of the house. Wi-fi covers the whole property, for anyone who wants to disconnect by choice, not for lack of signal.

Breakfast

Made in-house, every day.

Bread, cakes, and pies come straight from the pousada's own oven. Fruit and juice follow the season, jams are homemade, plus cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, and granola — always with a view of the bay.

Orchids, hummingbirds, and a cat on guard

The garden is tended by hand — always with orchids in bloom and hummingbirds passing through. At the gate, a hand-carved wooden sign with the house's name, and, more often than not, a black cat standing watch.
